Up up and away- an Adventure with Mary Poppins!
Join Mary Poppins on an adventure to revisit many of her magical stories and the important life lessons she learned along the way. On this journey, we will discover just how important it is to understand someone else’s situation from their point of view.
This class will encourage participants to reflect on their background and discover what truly makes them who they are! Together we will read ‘Where are You From?’ by Yamile Saied Méndez and understand the importance of accepting ourselves and others!
Singing songs Mary Poppins loves to sing such as “A Cover is Not the Book” the children will be encouraged to look deeper and remember that everything is not always as it seems. These are only a few of the things we will learn as we sing, dance, create, and read together!
Hi there! I’m Addison McFarlin and I am so thrilled to be a part of the Tiny Broadway team! I am currently a student at Marymount Manhattan College training for my BFA in Musical Theatre.
I have been heavily involved in theatrical performances for the last 12 years and am so excited to continue my journey as an artist here at Tiny Broadway! I have around 8 years of experience in teaching and interacting with children in the classroom; including leading activities and workshops!
From character meet and greets in the theatre to leading discussions, activities, and reading weekly to children’s classes in Nashville, TN, I am passionate about working with and hopefully making a difference in the lives of children!
